Welcome to Twin-Reflection Nubians and Saanens. We are located in north central Indiana in the small
town of Peru. Our main focus is for the showring, but our girls do not slouch in the bucket. We concentrate on breeding a
very correct dairy animal with a great mammery system and long, level lactation.
In the past few years, we have concentrated on only the Nubian breed and have done reasonably well
in the showring. Due to time issues during the last year, we have had to dramatically reduce our nubian herd. Our newest news
is adding a new breed to our barn. We will now also be breeding Saanens.
Herd health is VERY important to us. All kids are raised on CAE prevention, and tested annually for CAE. Our
herd is abcess and CAE negative. We feed our does and kids quality alfalfa hay free choice during the spring and summer
and a quality brome grass hay mixed with alfalfa in the fall and winter. The kids are hand raised on heat treated colostrum
and pasturized milk until 10-12 weeks old when they are weaned. We feed our kids our own personal feed mix (18% Protein
4% Fat) free choice along with their alfalfa hay. Our milking does also get our own personal grain mix (16% Protein 4%
Fat) that I mix by hand using corn, oats, ProVider 38 KENT dairy pellet, Black Oil Sunflower Seeds and Beet
Pulp. All animals have access to a loose goat mineral and of course fresh water.
We do vaccinate with CD&T and worm with Panacur and Ivomec. (We rotate these wormers.) Kids are raised
on coccidiosis prevention using Sulmet every 3 weeks starting at 2 weeks old until they are 3-4 months of age.
Please take a look around and feel free to email and or call with any questions.
